I just learned of Risa’s passing. Words fail me at times like this. While I taught at Howe Military, Risa was the assistant headmaster and then headmaster. Without her assistance I would not have been able to do my “student teaching” at HMS...thus I wouldn’t have received my teaching degree. Risa’s entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry for the untimely loss of Risa. She was a little miracle who
fought hard to grow up and be healthy. That laugh when she played with her
children and grandchildren ......photo’s of those times we will remember ........
The great times growing up with the Beams and Dodge cousins at Lake George.
We give you sympathy and love to comfort you and your family. Ron and Corla

A very sad day. My condolences. I have so many great childhood memories of the cottage at Lake George. Risa playing water ball with the boys, her infectious laugh. She will be missed.

Risa was my cousin and I have many fond memories of our childhood at Lake George together -- playing 'horse' in the lake hoop - Boilers vs Hoosiers (Boilers almost always won ;-), hanging in the boat, water skiing, walking to the general store for candy, fishing in the mill pond... All great memories and fun times! What I will remember most about Risa was her infectious smile and laugh... Our hearts ache for your loss - Uncle Jerry, Aunt Glenna, Val & Ted, Mike & Kay... we miss and love you all! Brian & Jane Beams, Kyle, Kevin and Jaclyn.

Risa was quite the basketball player. We were on the high school team together for a few years, and she was quick to smile as she drove down the court. My deepest condolences to her family.
