Born on October 24, 1969, in South Africa, Robert carried with him a deep love for his homeland and its traditions. He is survived by his devoted wife, Erin; his two cherished children, Daniel and Hannah; his loving mother, Francis; his sisters, Henta and Andra; his beloved niece, Liezel; and his nephews, Rudolf, Armand, and Franck.
Robert’s greatest joy in life came from being a father. He was immensely proud of Daniel and Hannah, whose accomplishments and character filled his heart with pride. Weekends were often spent traveling with Daniel to tennis tournaments or accompanying Hannah to horse-riding events — moments that brought him immense happiness. The three shared a passion for adventure, especially during their annual ski trips to Canada and their explorations of new places together.
A true enthusiast of fine wine, Robert had a particular appreciation for South African vintages. He was most content when surrounded by friends and family around the braai, sharing good food, laughter, and meaningful conversation.
Robert was also a dedicated professional, serving as a partner at Deloitte. He took great pride in his work and in mentoring younger generations, believing that true success came not only from achievement but from lifting others up. His clients and colleagues will remember him for his integrity, warmth, and commitment to building genuine connections.
Throughout his life, Robert’s love for sports remained strong. He especially enjoyed running, tennis, and rugby, never missing a chance to cheer for his beloved Springboks.
In his final years, Robert faced life’s greatest challenges with strength and grace, supported unfailingly by his loving wife, Erin. Her steadfast care and unconditional love helped him navigate his hardest times.
Robert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and love will live on through the many lives he touched.
