OBITUARY
Anna Hortence Perhealth
November 8, 1939 – June 25, 2018
IN THE CARE OF
Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Anna Hortence Perhealth, 78, of Hampton, Virginia returned to her heavenly home Monday, June 25, 2018. She was the youngest daughter of the late William “Dutch” and Ruth A. Walton and was born November 8, 1939 in Roanoke, Virginia.
Anna’s career with the federal government began in 1967. As soon as her fifth child started school she started work as a GS1 Clerk Typist at Fort Monroe. Thirty-three years later, she retired as a GM13 Branch Chief System Analyst. She loved roller skating and made it a family affair, involving all five of her kids in skating competitions where trophies and medals filled the shelves. She was a lifelong member of the Church where she volunteered as a secretary and was the preacher’s right hand. She was a beautiful soul who always took care of those who could not take care of themselves. She was a wonderful mother, loving wife, a beautiful person, and was always giving. She was admired and appreciated by everyone. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ezra Perhealth, Sr.; sister, Geraldine C. Clark; and brother, Jack O. Walton. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rodney C. Pinner and wife Barbara of Wakefield, NH, Diana Mosca and husband Thomas of Richmond, Stephen E. Pinner of Hampton, Mary E. Cundiff of York County, and Ezra Perhealth, Jr. of Hampton; grandchildren, Sarah N. Pinner of Alexandria, Christina Sheldon of Virginia Beach, Leigh A. Pinner of Colorado Springs, CO, Dylan Cundiff of York County, Megan Cundiff of Hampton, and Madison Mosca of Richmond; great- grandchildren, Zachary and Christian of Virginia Beach; and brother, Leonard E. Walton of Chesapeake.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 pm, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Anna’s life will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Lighthouse Community Church, 9609 9th Bay Street, Norfolk, VA 23518.
