Carl Ray Baugher

Carl Ray Baugher, 61, a resident of Elkton, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was born on February 15, 1951 in Harrisonburg and is the son of Catherine M. Baugher of Harrisonburg and the late Daniel Ray Baugher. Carl was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School and he attended Elkton Evangelical United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his mother he is survived by Cathy S. Fitzwater, his longtime love and partner of Elkton; two children, Joseph Lee Baugher of Northeast, MD, and Tammy M. Oden of New Market; one brother, Randall Dale Baugher, and wife, Marylou, of Danville; two sisters, Sandra Kay Baugher and Lisa Ann Hensley, and husband, Ray Hensley, Jr., both of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, Kaleb Ryman, Emma, Freya and Chloe Oden; four step-children, Galen E. Fitzwater, Jr. of Verona, Stanley D. Fitzwater of Hinton, Jason L. Fitzwater and Sylvia J. Perez both of Harrisonburg; 15 step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Lindsey Funeral Homes in Harrisonburg. A private graveside service will be at Mt. Clinton Mennonite Church Cemetery.
