Janet Marie Beach

Mrs. Janet Marie Beach, 71, a resident of the Tenth Legion area, passed away Tuesday evening, June 25, 2013, at her home. A daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Morris Johnson, she was born on Nov. 9, 1941 in Linville. In August 1966, she married James Marvin “Beachy” Beach, Sr., who preceded her in death on June 4, 2011. She lived in Tenth Legion for the last 30 years and was a stay at home Mother of 6 children. She was a loving mother and grandmother, survived by six children, James M. Beach, Jr., and wife, Priscilla, of Lacey Spring; Tammy Burrell and husband, James, of Fulks Run; Debbie Siever Salas of Harrisonburg; William Joe Beach and wife, Becky, of Mt. Clinton; Lisa Williams of Broadway, who was also her caregiver; Robin Beach of Broadway; eleven grandchildren, a loving friend, Christine Cook; and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves her dog, Liana and cat, Mufasa. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 Saturday morning, June 29, 2013, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Clarence Moyers will conduct the services. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
