Robert "Bob" Daily

Robert “Bob” Daily, 59, of Harrisonburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born on July 26, 1953, in Scottsburg, Indiana and was the son of the late John J. and Gladys Applegate Daily. His family moved to Arizona in 1962 where he made his home prior to moving to Harrisonburg in 1973. Bob had been employed with WKCY/WSVA in sales, Shank Beverage and retired from management at Food Lion; and also owned Daily’s Tax Service. Bob volunteered for the Rockingham County Fair Association for over 30 years and also served on the board. He enjoyed working on the family Christmas tree farm. On May 14, 1975 he married the former Debra Myers, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Rob Daily and wife, Laura of Dayton; and two grandchildren, Paige and Charlotte Daily; three sisters, Helen Carnes and husband, Bill, and Janet Cochran, and Evelyn McMurrick and husband, George all of Arizona; a brother, Marvin Daily of Spain; a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
