Geneva V. Howes

Geneva V. Howes, 97, formerly of Bippus, passed away early Friday morning August 22, 2014 at the Heritage Pointe in Warren. Geneva was a 1935 graduate of Bippus High School. She was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Bippus. She was a Waitress for many years at the Bippus Restaurant. Geneva was born on March 16, 1917 in Bippus a daughter of Edward and Hannah (Young) Heller. She was united in marriage to Harold B. Howes on May 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1964. Survivors include a son: David L. Howes and his wife Delight Howes of Wabash; a daughter: Dawn E. Harrison of Huntington. 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Garretson and Thelma Ott and a brother: Derwood Heller. Visitation will be held on Monday August 25, 2014 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel located at 2901 Guilford St Huntington, IN Funeral service will be held on Monday August 25, 2014 at 12:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Interment will take place at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
