Glenna J. Brown, 81 of Andrews passed away at 7:24 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Glenna was a 1948 graduate of Andrews High School. She was a life-long member of the Andrews United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer and organist. She was a 50 year member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Beta Chi Sorority. She was the secretary of the Andrews-Dallas Township Library and was also secretary for the Riverside Cemetery and the Andrews Alumni Association. She worked at the Andrews Post Office for many years and retired as Postmaster in 2000. She worked at Kitchen-Maid and General Engineering in Andrews and also the Huntington County Treasury Office. She was president of the Dallas and Warren Home Extension Club. Glenna was born on December 5, 1930 in Andrews, a daughter of Glen & Belle (Jennings) Campbell. Survivors include two daughters: Beth (David) Blocker of Huntington; Sara Brown of Andrews; a son: Neil Brown of Fort Wayne; a sister: Pauline (Toddy) Wilson of Huntington and four grandchildren: Mark Blocker, Heidi Blocker, Evan Brown and Connor Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Helen Wintrode. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Epsilon Sigma Alpha Beta Chi Sorority service at 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:00 a. m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Richard Strick officiating. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Andrews. Memorials can be made out to Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library Building Fund in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
