John L. Cull

John L. Cull, 97 of Huntington passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013 at The Heritage of Huntington. John was a 1933 graduate of Huntington High School and a 1937 graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne. He served as a special agent in the Counter Intelligence Corp. during WWII from 1942 – 1946 and the Korean Conflict from 1950 – 1952. He worked for 32 years as a manager at Huntington Laboratory, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and the Huntington Elks Lodge #2803.
He was born on September 4, 1915 in Huntington, a son of Frank J. and Mayme G. (Horrell) Cull.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Patrice Fling on April 7, 1951; she preceded him in death on December 27, 1993. His second marriage was to Betty Griffith Lear, she preceded him in death on December 8, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter: Catherine J. (Donald) Clark of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother: Max W. Cull and a son: John J. Cull.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2:00 – 6:00 at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Dr. Sam Young officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made out to Central Christian Church in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
