Armand J. Blanchard

Armand J Blanchard 88, passed away peacefully Jan. 26, 2013. He was born in Burlington, VT to the late Origene and Analda Blanchard. He married Emily Lorenzen in 1950 and has preceded him in death. Armand graduated from Burlington HS; graduated from Indiana Technical College with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from INDOT (Indiana Dept. of Transportation) and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church since 1954. Armand served on the Mens’s Altar Society, Parish Council, Usher, Lector, and Men’s Choir. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Armand was active with his sons in scouting and sports; was a huge Colts Fan and also loved ballroom dancing where he met Emily. He is survived by his children Michael (Linda) Blanchard, Carol VanSlyke, Gregory Blanchard, Patrick (Cheryl); Blanchard, Vivian (Darcy) Troville and Christopher Blanchard; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Armand was also preceded in death by his sister Teresa Marvin. Visitation will be held Friday Feb. 1st at Little and Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday Feb. 2nd at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Buiral Calvary Cemetery. www.littleandsonsindianapolis.com
