Charles Wayne Christie

Charles Wayne Christie, 75 of Kokomo, passed away on Sunday July 22, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born October 13, 1942 to Ralph and Mable Christie. He was a graduate of Windfall High School, class of 1960. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964 and retired from Delco Electronics in 2001. Charlie loved spending time with family. He was an avid fisherman, loved to mushroom hunt and admire nature. He was an active attendant at the Kokomo Senior Center and loved to spend time in the pool room at the center where he made great friends. He is survived by three brothers; Richard Christie, Phoenix AZ, Paul and Mark Christie, both of Kokomo, four sisters; Claudia and Thomas Watley of Tipton, Catherine Ford of Tipton IN, Tonita Ziegelman of Surprise AZ, and Robyn Marrow of Prescott Valley AZ, four children; Farrah Gibson (Mike) of Yorktown, Kim Burton of Kokomo, Bryan Bennett (Martha) of Midland TX and Victor Bennett (Kristine) of Grand Rapids MI, 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Those that have preceded Charlie in death are his parents Ralph and Mable, brother Ralph David Christie and ex-wife Maureen Christie. A gathering of friends and family will take place Thursday evening, July 26 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel from 4pm to 7pm. A Funeral service will be Friday July 27 at 11am. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
