Diane Dunn

Diane (Hayes) Dunn, 86, passed away on January 10th, 2019 at home. Diane was born on October 26th, 1932 to Kenneth and Helen Hayes in Kokomo. Diane married Billy E. Dunn on October 27th, 1950 and he preceded her in passing in 1967. She was a 1951 Kokomo High School graduate. Diane was a homemaker until she went on to work for Delco Electronics for 30 years, retiring in 1991. Diane was in a travel club and enjoyed traveling with her sister, Jeannine Leffert. They went on cruises and traveled to many different locations, particularly enjoying the Caribbean. Diane kept in touch with many of her retiree friends and met them for lunch often. Diane liked to spend time fishing and riding in the golf cart with her daughter, Teresa. She loved her family and was at every family function. Diane loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She will be dearly missed by all. Diane leaves behind her children, Vickie (Jeff) Pontius, Teresa Miller, and Rex (Terri) Dunn; 6 grandchildren Tiffany, Dendra, Brandi, Derek, Nick, and Stephanie; 11 great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Diane is preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; her sister Jeannine Leffert and brother Richard Hayes. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15th at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Diane will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Kokomo Rescue Mission or the Kokomo Salvation Army.
