Ella Jane Boothby

Sep 21, 1933 - Jan 27, 2012 Ella Jane (Crawford) Boothby, 78, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 27, 2012 at home with her family and loved ones at her side. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky to William and Delpha Crawford on September 21, 1933. She was married to Jack Lee Boothby on June 6, 1953. Ella, along with her husband, was an active member in Grace Community Foursquare Church. She served as a deaconess, volunteered at the Hands of Grace Storehouse, taught Sunday school for young children and volunteered as a counselor for the children's summer camp. She volunteered with family services alongside Dr. Bill Belcher. She also served as a secretary for the family business, Free Carpet Cleaning, Inc. since 1980. She is survived by her husband, Jack Lee Boothby, Russiaville; her sister, Claire Moriarity, Cleveland, Ohio; her children, son, Jack (Ruthanne), Kokomo, son, Terry, Gainesville, Florida, daughter, Rita (Adil) Rasmouni, Kokomo, daughter, Tamera, Kokomo; her grandchildren, Christopher Boothby, Angela (Clay) Howell, Matthew (Beth) Boothby, Nathan (Amber) Boothby, Jeremiah (Jamie) Boothby, Conrad (Tracy) Morgan, Luke Morgan; her great-grandchildren, Alex, Eli, Kaitlyn, Harbor, Cannon, Alexis, Brianna, Madison, Brayden and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Genevieve Sterling, son Timothy Boothby, nephew Roy Gossard, nephew Christopher Boothby, and great nephew Shane Smith. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Joseph Westrom and to Heidi, Angel, Faye, and Joel from Premier Hospice for helping us through this difficult time and for providing excellent care to Ella. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rush officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
