Gerald Wayne Etherington, 79, Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care. He was born September 18, 1933, in Kokomo, to Pete and Maxine (Allen) Etherington.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and worked at Haynes International as a millwright, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by four sons, Steven Wayne Etherington, Mark Allen Etherington, Harold Scott Etherington, and Michael V. Etherington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilin Turner and Mona Little.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Anderson; and brother, Danny Etherington.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
