Obituary of Marian Louise Kinder
Marian Louise Brown Kinder, 84, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Waterford Place. She was born August 25, 1928, in Weirton, West Virginia, the daughter of Huston and Anna (Herrington) Brown. On December 23, 1945, she married Earl E. Kinder in Kokomo. Marian Louise was a 1946 graduate of Kokomo High School and studied accounting at Indiana University at Kokomo. She was head bookkeeper at Kolux Corporation for twenty-five years and ten years at General Motor in Kokomo. She retired in 1992, and with her husband, traveled both overseas and around the United States, which included all 50 states. She loved crocheting and made many Afghans for relatives and friends. She was a member of Eastern Star, Ladies of the Grotto and Booster Club of Kokomo. She is survived by a son, Steven E. (Shelbie) Kinder; four grandchildren, Matthew S. (Julie) Kinder, Kokomo, Michael J. (Sherry) Kinder, Newburgh, Maine, Blake A. Kinder, Kokomo, and Whittny N. Kinder, Kokomo; three sisters, Clara Mae Wilson, Rochester, Rebecca A. Franklin, Gallatin, Tennessee, and Sarah J. Preston, Lerna, Illinois; one half-brother, Michael E. Brown, Pennsylvania; and three great-grandchildren, Alessa, Breanna, and Cole Kinder, all of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mable Webster. There will be a private family service. Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
