Dixie Louise Anders Ramey, 64, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at her residence.
Born March 12, 1948 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Mildred Phillips Anders and was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Troy Anders and a brother, Dean C. Anders. Dixie was retired from Genworth and was a longtime waitress at Jumbo Family Restaurant. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Dixie is survived by a son, Barry Glenn Ramey of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, Megan Meadows of Evington; two brothers, Dennis F. Anders and wife Phyllis of Goldsboro, NC and Kelly D. Anders of Lynchburg and one sister, Kay A. Womack and husband David of Salem.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
