Mary Agnes Baber
September 4, 1918 – May 7, 2011

Mary Agnes Driscoll Adams Baber, 92, of Lynchburg, died, Saturday, May 07, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Quincy Adams and the late Earl Glenn Baber, Sr. She was born September 4, 1918, in Lynchburg, to the late John Augustus Driscoll and Bell Marie Moon Driscoll.
Mrs. Baber was a retired traffic guard for the City of Lynchburg, and a life-time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Baber is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald S. Adams and E. Glenn Baber, Jr.; two brothers, James Driscoll and The Right Rev. John Driscoll and four sisters, Helen D. Baker, Kathleen D. Cox, Margaret D. Spence and Lucille Driscoll.
Mrs. Baber is survived by four children, Patricia A Cash of Evington, Mary Helen Scott and her husband David of Toano, Debbie B. Wheeler and her husband Brian of Lynchburg and step-son, Danny S. Baber and his family; four grandchildren; Stephen Gable, Robbin G. Keen and her husband John, Kelly Scott and her husband Brian and Tracy Neidhardt and her husband Danny; and five great-grandchildren, Ian Keen, Sarah Keen, Sam Neidhardt, Nicole Neidhardt and Bailie Scott. Mrs. Baber was also survived by the family of E. Glenn Baber, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Millie Tomlin.
The family would like to express special thanks to Hope Lankford, Diane Gowen, Virginia Johnson, Marge Chamberlain and Tiffany Chapman for their love and care toward Mrs. Baber.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May, 10, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church conducted by the Rev. Robert McEleney. Entombment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, 6:30-8:30p.m., Monday, May 9, 2011, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel and at other times at the residence.
