Patricia Thomas Woods, 62, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. She was the wife of Lawrence Edward “Hippie” Woods.
Born on December 15, 1955 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Thomas. Patricia enjoyed being around people and making them happy. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lawrence “Hippie” Woods, she is survived by her son, Jason Woods and daughter-in-law, Heather Christian; three grandsons, Gavin Edward Woods, Tilden James Woods, Ryland Novel Woods, and Gyspy Spencer; sister, Brenda Thomas Connelly and husband John; brother, Michael Wayne Thomas and wife Lisa; special lifelong friend, Mary Lowe and husband John; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
