Erleen Drinkard Hayslett, 79, of Madison Heights passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late James Andrew Hayslett, Sr.
Born in Rustburg, June 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George Paul Drinkard and Estelle Webb Drinkard. She was retired from Central Virginia Training Center after 25 years of service and was a member of Christian Chapel Ministries.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James Andrew Hayslett, Jr.; one grandson, Joshua Hayslett, one brother, George Drinkard and one sister, Edna Earl Drinkard.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Brooks of Madison Heights, two good friends, Alice Manuel and Betty Harlow and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Dr. Thomas C. Brooks, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
