Marlene Jackson Wilmer

Marlene J. Wilmer, our dear sweet and loving mama went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus and to be reunited with family previously passed, February 28th. As we miss her sweet ways so very much, we rejoice that she is free from worry. Marlene was the daughter of the late William Riley and Annie Jennings Jackson of Monroe, Virginia. She was preceded in passing by sisters, Edna, Alene, Mae, and Maude; brother, Charles; daughter, Jackie; son, Kinckle; and grandson David. Her family meant everything to her. She was a homemaker for many years, but finally retired from Fairfax County, where she was a Public Information Specialist for 14 years. She is survived by granddaughter, Kirsten; sons, Les and Keith; grandson, James; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at the Monroe Church of God Cemetery.
