Leslie Gordon Hart

Leslie Gordon Hart, 90, of the Holly Grove area of Louisa County, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Disrude and his son, Martin Gregory Hart. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carrie (Caren) Hart; daughter, Mary Hart Blackmon; two sons, Walter Geoffrey Hart and wife, Pam and Daniel Whitney Hart and wife, Dee; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew and two longtime friends, Avron Berman and wife, Mickey of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Mr. Hart served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and retired from Frito-Lay as an Operations Manager after 36 years of service. He was also a longtime member of Gum Spring United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116. A graveside service will be held at Signal Hill Memorial Park for the immediate family.
