Gail Ann Adamik

ADAMIK, Gail A., 65, of Midlothian died Saturday, May 12, 2012 after a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer that eventually spread to her brain. She has now joined her beloved father and mother, Edward and Ann Jenkins, and the two dogs that she rescued and loved, Bear and Misty. Very much missing her are her husband of 42 years, Joseph Adamik; her son, Michael Adamik of Midlothian, his wife Kim Ball, her grandchildren: Megan, Maddie, Eliza, and Ryan; her sister, Mary Lou Jenkins; her brother Edward Jenkins, his wife Suzanne and their children: Kristine, Ashley, and Richard; her father-in-law Joseph Adamik and sister-in-law Linda Southen, both of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Gail retired from First Virginia Bank after she was first diagnosed with cancer. Gail loved the beach, dancing, and especially being with her family and friends. All who knew her realized that, with her contagious personality and sincere interest in people, that you couldn’t have a better friend. People gravitated to her. In her long battle with the terrible disease, she had a positive attitude and always made the best of her situation. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., where services will be held 11am Friday, May 18, 2012.
