Timothy Dean McDowell

Timothy D. McDowell, 54, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and formerly of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born Thursday, November 28, 1963 in Muncie, the son of Robert L. and Bettie (Burris) McDowell. Timothy loved fishing, enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, and was an avid Purdue basketball fan. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his mom, Bettie (husband James) Upchurch; son, Cody McDowell; two daughters, Casey McDowell, and Cara (husband K.C.) Griffin; three sisters, Patricia (husband Garen) Forsythe, Tamara McDowell (his twin sister), and Rose Wilson (husband Harry) Brading; two grandchildren, Kaysen Griffin and Aubrey Kieninger; four nieces, Charissa Forsythe, Ariel Forsythe, Autumn Wilson, and Amanda Keithley; and three nephews, Kieran Forsythe, Henry Wilson, and Chris McDowell. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee McDowell; his brother, Steven McDowell; maternal grandparents, Roscoe and Pearl Burris; and his paternal grandparents, Everett and Nora McDowell. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor James Upchurch officiating.
