Floyd B. Hobbs Jr.

Floyd B. Hobbs, Jr., 87 years of age, died Saturday, May 5, 2018. He was born May 14, 1930 in Beach, North Dakota to the late Floyd B. Hobbs, Sr. and Helen (Torrnow) Hobbs. He was a Millwright with Local 2209 and spend many years with his wife, Mary Pat, in N. Ft. Meyers, Florida after his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, member of the V.F.W., member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany, and the widower of his wife of 63 years, Mary Pat (White) Hobbs. Floyd was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Darlene, and great grandson, Nathan. Survivors include several children, Brian (Pam), Jim, Paul (Sandy), Sandy Fitzgerald(Paul), Patti Bauder (Gary), Janice Atkins(Dennis), Mary Ann Hobbs; sister, Jeanne Jones; 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 9:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
