Joseph Harold Spalding

Joseph Harold Spalding, 88 years of age died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born April 19, 1926 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late William and Emily Spalding. Harold was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post #3281 and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, both in New Albany. He was a retired supervisor at the Sud-Chemie Company in Louisville and a farmer. Along with parents, Harold was preceded in death by his step-son, Harold Jantzen. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Spalding; grandson, Pat Daniel; granddaughter, Nikki Graham; great grandchildren, Trae Graham, Michael Jantzen, Natasha Daniel, Bryan Daniel, Timmy Daniel, and Tyler Daniel; great great granddaughter, Hallie Jantzen; brothers, Jerry Spalding and James Spalding; sisters, Betty Spalding and Rose Aronhime. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
