Roscoe R. Burden Jr.

Roscoe R. Burden Jr., 91 years of age died Sunday May 6, 2018 at V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 31, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Roscoe R. Burden Sr. and Zylphia (Veteto) Burden. Roscoe retired after thirty years as a manager and supervisor with the Yellow Cab Company Checker Division in Louisville, Kentucky and was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. #2. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a Kentucky Colonel. Roscoe was married to the love of his life Nevada (Rogers) Burden for seventy years and will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and friends. Survivors include Wife of 70 years Nevada (Rogers) Burden, four children; Roger L. Burden, Marte G. Mudd (Mike), Roscoe R. Burden III (Denise), and Kathy Tucker (Glen). Four grandchildren; Michael William Mudd (Jennifer), Brad Burden (Donna), Matthew Burden, and Michael Woosley. Two Greatgrandchildren; Eva and Brantlee. Visitation will be Friday May 11th, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am Saturday May 12th, at Kraft Funeral service 2776 Charlestown Rd. in New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 am Saturday May 12th, at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel. Private burial will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
