ROSEMARY C. BALL, 88, died Wednesday May 26, 2010 at her residence in New Albany.
Rosemary was a native of Quality, KY, attended college in Nashville, TN and was later employed by the Department of Defense in Washington D.C. during World War II. Rosemary retired after 30 years of service from the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a member of the National Federation of Federal Employees, she was a founding member of the local 1438 union and served as president and vice-president for over 14 years and she also served several terms as chief negotiator for Census Bureau contracts and lobbied in Washington D.C. for federal employee rights.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick; and her beloved son, Steve.
Surviving: daughter, Jean Bettencourt (Gary); son, Terry Ball; grandchildren, Travis Bragg and Maxwell Ball.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany from 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Kraft Funeral Chapel, with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
