Roselene A Andersen

Roselene A. Andersen, 88, peacefully passed away on April 1, 2013 in her home while surrounded by her family. She was born on November 26, 1924 in Turin, Iowa, the daughter of the late Florence and Ruth Voss. Roselene proudly served her country in the United States Navy. She loved sewing, quilting, and crocheting, upholstering, audio books and was a dedicated member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Sylvester C. Andersen and son, Christian S. Andersen. Roselene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ruth A. Andersen, Ret. Air Force Capt. Robert L. Andersen and wife Deborah and Ardeth A. Miller; 6 grandchildren, Andy Andersen, Shawn Carter, Jacki Richardson, Carl Miller, Casey Miller and Troy Andersen; 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous other loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel by Pastor don Harris. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Burrows Memorial Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
