Eugene K. "Gene" Myers

Eugene K. “Gene” Myers, 87, of Ossian passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. He was born on May 10, 1930, the son of the late Clem and Lamora (Campbell) Myers. He graduated from Central High School in 1948 where he was a bass player in the orchestra. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He later worked for and retired from International Harvester/Navistar. He was a member at New Hope Lutheran Church and the American Legion. He was a man of many talents and enjoyed spending his time golfing, farming, working on cars, woodworking, doing stain glass works, and anything music. Surviving family include his wife, Donna Myers; children, Kent (Donna) Myers, Kristine Wyrick, Todd (Kim) Myers; 10 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his two daughters, Jill and Pamela. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, February 5, 2018 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 8824 North State Rd. 1, Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-5 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the church or Visiting Nurse.
