Dennis "Dee" Edward Lambert

Dennis Edward "Dee" Lambert ,60, of Richmond VA passed away suddenly September 1st, 2018. He leaves behind his broken hearted wife of 26 years, Karin and beloved daughter, Eva, 22, as well as cousins Jackie Lambert of Woodstock, VA, Paul Fravel of Strasburg VA and Richard Gorham of Comfort, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Auburn Lee Lambert, Sr. and Helen Fravel Lambert, and his brother Auburn Lee Lambert, Jr. Dennis was born and raised in Woodstock, VA. After graduating from Central High School in 1976, he left to play football for the University of Richmond. He remained in Richmond for the majority of his life, working in the contract furniture industry, which took him to jobs in Florida, Chicago and Houston. Most recently he worked at The Supply Room Company. Through his wife, he learned to love all things Norwegian, and will be missed by his extended family in Norway. He will be remembered for his love of life, music (especially The Grateful Dead), cooking, golf and good friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 5th from 6-8 pm at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 7th 2018 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1466 Harrisville Rd, Toms Brook, VA 22660 with a reception to follow.
