Doris Cooke Owens

OWENS, Doris Cooke, 85, of Henrico, Va., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was born September 11, 1932 in Elm City, N.C. to her parents, Luby and Maggie Cooke. She was one of twelve siblings, and is survived by a brother Melvin Cooke and a sister Bert Proctor. Her daughters Gia and Kym and their father Boyd Owens; two grandchildren, Afton and Ashley; and two granddogs, Baxter and Nikki survive her. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. Celebration of Life services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Westhampton Memorial Park.
