Granger Mason "Buddy" Ager
July 1, 1929 – January 30, 2012

Ager, Granger Mason “Buddy”, born July 1, 1929 in Roanoke, VA to Esther Armbrister and Rhea Ager, concluded his earthly journey and joined his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 30, 2012. Buddy was predeceased by his parents and sister, LaDean Bower; also by the love of his life, and mother of his children, Margaret Ann “Annie Girl” Stinnett Ager.
Buddy was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War aboard a mine sweeper. He was retired from C & P Telephone Co. of Virginia (Verizon) and also Lorain Power in Ohio. Among many things, Buddy enjoyed camping, boating and fishing with family and friends; and was a Redskins fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Margie.
Left to cherish his memory are a son, Wes Ager and his wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Paula Archer and husband, Len; a grandson, Jarrett Ager and wife, Natasha; granddaughter, Ginny Lee and husband, Roy; and great-granddaughter, Amber Lee.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2nd, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where a service of remembrance will follow at 11 a.m. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Virginia.
