Willie Jasper Grimsley

Willie Jasper Grimsley, 85, a resident of Shenandoah, died December 17, 2012 at Life Care Center in New Market.
A son of the late Mahlon and Evelyn Smeltzer Grimsley, he was born on May 15, 1927 in Page County, where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Willie worked for Norfolk & Western Railway, now Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a life member of Avis O. Comer VFW Post #8613.
Surviving are three sons, W. Franklin Grimsley of Shenandoah, Mahlon David Grimsley of North Carolina, and Roger D. Grimsley of Shenandoah; four daughters, Susie Kitta, Virginia Faye Taylor, Libby Hammer and Evelyn Meadows, all of Elkton; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mertie Blakemore, Alberta Long, Lucy Louderback and Catherine Good, all of Shenandoah; and one brother, Johnnie Ray Grimsley of Shenandoah. He was preceded in death one brother, Isaac Pete Grimsley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 19th, 2012, at Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
His body will be cremated and a Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Rest Haven Community Cemetery in Shenandoah.
