Aaron John Groat

Aaron John Groat, age 45, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Stafford, Virginia. He was born in California and raised in upstate New York. After graduating Mt. Pleasant High School, Aaron went into the Navy and spent 20 years serving his country. Upon his retirement, he continued to serve his country by working for the federal government. Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Monica Lovett-Groat; two daughters Hannah and Sarah; his parents, Barry and Diane Groat along with his two brothers, Michael and Joe; his nephew, Noah and niece, Georganna. Aaron will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a future date that is yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to Mission 22 in honor of Aaron.
