Constance B. "Connie" Mays Campbell

Constance B. "Connie" Mays Campbell, 69, of Stuarts Draft, went to be with her Lord on Monday night, February 11, 2013, at Augusta Health. She was born on September 10, 1943, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Lavvie Clark Mays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Campbell; and sisters, Zena Austin and Helen Powell. Mrs. Campbell was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Conover and husband, Donnie, of Stuarts Draft, and Christie Moseman and husband, James, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Dallas, Derick, Danielle and Daelyn Conover; brothers, John Mays and wife, Carolyn, of Waynesboro, George, Jimmy and Lane Mays, all of Stuarts Draft; one sister, Jenny Churchill and husband, Charles, of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Lucy Pardee, and sister-in-law, Tina Mays Lloyd. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Stuarts Draft. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Mike Lawson and Charles Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Phillip Mays, Marshall Powell, John Mays Jr., Bruce Mays, Chad Austin, Steve Hunter and Kenny Waiter. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and other nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for expenses.
