Corbert Wyatt Campbell

Corbert Wyatt Campbell, 80, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born July 17, 1931 in Montebello, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Fitzgerald) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served as an Airman Second Class. He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Andy Campbell; siblings, George Campbell, Jr., William Campbell and Madge Coffey. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Christine (McKay) Campbell; step-sons, Steve and wife Debbie Humphreys of Sherando, Darrell and wife Diana of Stuarts Draft and PatrickEllinger and fiancé Jenn of Orlando, FL; siblings, Isabelle Harris of Stuarts Draft, Janet and husband Melvin Bess of Sherando, Thomas and wife Martha Campbell of Stuarts Draft and Bob Campbell of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Corey and A.D. Campbell, Dallas Humphreys, Christy Woodson, Catie Humphreys, Travis Humphreys and Logan Humphreys; great-grandchildren, Kayley Campbell, Kelsey Campbell, Kaden Campbell, Mylasia Woodson, Lyric Woodson, Symanthia Humphreys, Khyri Green and Christopher Woodson; special friends Gene and Sandy Trantham; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, with Pastors Frank Hall and Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Patrick Ellinger, A.D. and Corey Campbell, Dallas Humphreys and Logan and Travis Humphreys. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at his residence.
