Oscar H. Alvarez, 87, passed away November 5, 2025 in Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mario Garcia. Oscar is survived by his wife of 62 years, Francisca “Frances” Alvarez; daughters Gisela Kinaci (Hakan) and Lissett Moraguez (Joe); grandsons Oscar, Taner, and Omer; sister Estrella Rabassa, and beloved dog Luisi.
A visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, located at 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614, on November 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens, located at 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592, on November 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
