Ann Marie Armstrong

Ann Marie Armstrong, of Zionsville formerly of Terre Haute, died on August 27, 2011. Ann was born in Terre Haute on October 10, 1949 to Carl V. Applegate and Mildred Vivian Stanfield Applegate. She graduated from Schulte High School in 1967 and then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in English Literature from Indiana State University. Ann married Dan Armstrong on June 25, 1982. She worked for 30 years for Volt Information Sciences, Inc. as their Human Resources Manager. Ann enjoyed interacting with people. She loved to sing ‘hip hop’ songs to her coworkers and her favorite was “The Real Slim Shady”. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching a good movie. Ann is survived by her husband, Dan Armstrong of Zionsville formerly of Terre Haute; brothers, Jon Applegate of Solsberry, Indiana and Tim Applegate ( Susan) of Gaston, Oregon; nieces, Terry (Tom) Knoy, Cathy Burt, Kricket Fox, Stevie (Jimmy) Isle, Kerstin (Nick) Applegate-Jennings, and Molly Applegate; 3 grandnieces, and 6 grandnephews. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 7363 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219 Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1st from Noon until the service at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rick Kassel officiating.
