Billie Trotter

Billie R. Trotter, 74, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Springhill Village. She was born on January 2, 1944, in Corona, CA to William and Mary (Patterson) Thompson. Billie is survived by her children: Jeff Trotter and wife Natalie of Terre Haute; Michelle Queen and husband Randy of Bowdon, GA; Melissa Barker and husband Dale of Terre Haute; James Trotter and wife Ashley of Fairbanks; Mickelina “Mickey” Trotter of Atlanta, GA; and Jason Trotter of Terre Haute. Also surviving are grandchildren, Courtney Trotter, Jennifer Queen, Logan Abbinett, Jessica Abbinett, Skylar Barker, Ashley Barker, Shelby Trotter, Charles Trotter, Olivia Stantz, Paisley Trotter, and Kynley Trotter; great-grandchildren, Braelynn and Khloe Barker; brother, Bob Thompson; special friend, Jeanetta Ridener; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Trotter; and siblings, William, Mary Lou, Chuck, Dodi, and Betty. Billie was raised in Springfield, IL and always thought of it as her hometown. She worked for many years at CBS Records and previously at Chesty Foods. She also worked in a beauty salon and as a waitress in several restaurants. When she was younger, Billie liked to bowl, fish, and play cards. Most of all, Billie cherished the time she spent raising her six children and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday, December 3 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating.
