Harry E. Shepherd Jr.

Harry Earl Shepherd Jr, 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side November 22, 2018. He was born June 29, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Harry and Pauline (Kracy) Shepherd Sr. Harry was a member of the Mason Lodge 86 of Terre Haute, Indiana, the Moose Lodge, and the Murdock Racing club. In his free time, he enjoyed farming, stock car racing, horse showing, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Harry is survived by his wife, Helen (Rogers) Shepherd; a daughter, Peggy Shepherd Carmichael and husband Kenny; a son, Harry E. Shepherd III and wife Sandra; his grandchildren, Crystal (Travis) Heramb, Kenny (Jessica) Carmichael, Stacey (Josh) Ford, Sara (Jonathan) Vanatti; his great-grandchildren, Keaton Heramb, Madison Ford, Kylie Vanatti, Garrison Ford; two sisters, Tharon (Gordon) Geckeler, Laura (Dave) Hof; special friends, Sandy and Kenny McMillin who were like family and many more; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Sunday November 25, 2018 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Family will accept friends from 10:00am – 11:00 am on Monday November 26, 2018. The funeral service will be at 11:00am with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in Harry’s name.
