Patricia Sue Long, our beloved and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, December 13, 2012 at I.U. Health - Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis at the age of 62. Pat was born in Bedford, Indiana on December 11, 1950, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Edith Juanita (Rollins) Underwood. She graduated from Needmore High School in 1968 and attended Olivet Nazarene College and Indiana University. Pat later worked for Indiana University in the Bursar’s Office. In 1973, Pat went on a date with Robert Long. After their first date, Bob knew that Pat was his soul mate. Bob and Pat were united in marriage on August 25, 1973 and together shared nearly forty years. Pat will forever be remembered for her kind and thoughtful demeanor. She was constantly putting others before herself and seeing the good in others. As a woman who was religious and of great faith, Pat believed strongly in the power of prayer and loved her Lord. She also enjoyed reading, music, crafts and crocheting.
