Sherra Kay Templeton

Sherra Kay Templeton, 82, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 27, 1936, in Sullivan County to Leo M. and Gertrude I. (Drake) Halberstadt. Sherra enjoyed word searches, playing solitaire, and was an avid IU Basketball fan. She will be truly missed. Sherra is survived by her children, Walter E. Templeton and wife Marlene, Joann Plant and husband Dick, and Steven Templeton; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Templeton, Brooke Templeton, Jeremy (Sarah) Templeton, Brandon (Ashley) Templeton, Chris (Sara) Ramsey, Shannon Ramsey, Sara (Rodney) Conn, Steven (Emily) Templeton; step-grandchildren, Velvet (Ed) Mason, Naomi Derrick; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter E. Templeton, Sr., and a brother, Ralph Halberstadt. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at the funeral home.
