Muriel D. Schryver

Muriel “Dawn” Schryver, 79, of the 2600 block of Olympic Dr. Lake Placid died on January 5, 2018 in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Dawn was a loving mother, nanna and great-nanna. She was active in her church, Holy Spirit, and at the VFW Post 392. She would always step in to wherever she was needed and was loved by many friends and family. Dawn will be laid to rest with her husband, Harold L. “Tom” Schryver and her sons, Robert R. Schryver and Tomas J. Schryver, “DJ Tom”. Dawn leaves behind her daughter, Dawn M. Thiele; three grandsons, Collin M. Thiele, Jeffrey A. Thiele, Christopher D. Thiele; a granddaughter, Faith S. Hurley; her great-grandson, Dominic A. Thiele; and two grand-daughters-in-law, Lauren Grossman and Jessica Thiele. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1396 Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery followed by a reception at Holy Spirit.
