Mildred Post Smith

Mildred Post Smith, of Williamsburg, left this life on September 4, 2013 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Frederick William Smith and son, John Walter Smith, and son-in-law, Chandra Dhanvada. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and enjoyed watching football, sewing, crocheting, bird watching, and spending time with her family, especially her “babies”. Mildred expressed her faith as a member of the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, William Edward Smith (Paula); her daughter, Judy G. Rogers (Randy); her daughter, Patricia S. Dhanvada (Steve); and her daughter-in-law, Sheryl Smith;her brother, Charles Edward Post (Adelle); her nine grandchildren, Angela Dorsey (Lenny), Jennifer Brooks (Rusty), Scott Smith (Angelica), Daniel Rogers (Laura), Jason Smith (Danielle), Carrie Smith, Michelle Smith, Aimee Smith (Morgan), and Emily Dhanvada; her eight great-grandchildren, Daren, Déja, Makayla, Madison, Keagan, Dylan, Cohen, and Eliana. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8 from 5-7 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A service will be held on Monday, September 9 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel, with internment following at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
