Obituary of Olivia Coleman
Olivia Coleman, 67, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2021. She was born in Mississippi on October 2, 1953, a daughter of the late Jack Kelly and Corine B. Doyle. Olivia worked as a medical billing and coding specialist for a number of years. She attended True Love Baptist church. She wanted to be remembered as "a strong black woman from the time I was born and that I am a stickler for education and a God fearing woman." Funny movies and her great grandchildren always made her laugh and brought a smile to her face. Olivia's proudest family moments include watching her grandchildren graduate and any family birthday. She hopes others have learned to be loving and understanding, patient, and to live by their own truths. Olivia's favorite color was brown. Her hobbies included working puzzles and word games as well as watching classic movies such as White Christmas. The thing she loved most were her children and finally she would like to be remembered as a good person. Surviving are her daughter, Olivia D. Coleman; grandchildren, Olivia Briyanna Coleman, Ernie Goodman III, Darnell Goodman, Thomas Coleman, John Edward Coleman Jr.; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Myla, Mytrell, and Nyzir; and sister, Patricia Mateo. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 7 siblings; and son, John Edward Coleman Sr. Visitation will be held on from 9 am to 11 am Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to her great-grandchildren, in care of Thomas Coleman.
