Laura Mavis Brown, 90, of Culpeper, VA passed away January 23, 2021. She was born November 10, 1930 to Leon F. Brown and Daisy B. Brown; was the widow of William Ernest Brown, Jr.; was a charter member of the Brandy Station Fire Department Auxiliary and the Stevensburg Baptist Church.
Surviving Laura are her children Carolyn Brown Corbin and her husband Doug , Billy Brown and his wife Kathy, Tina Brown and Dennis Brown and his wife Stacey; her grandchildren, Jason Corbin, Amy Corbin, Ashley Sowers, Bill Brown, Laura Zinn, Casey Glascock, Patrick Glascock, Joseph Bennett and Denny Brown; her great-grandchildren, Bree, Bentley, Avery, Austin, Haley, Zach, Kayley, Benson, Katie, Sophia, Savannah and Norah and her siblings, Clay Corbin, L.F. Brown, Nancy Smith and Brenda Green. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and spouse, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy, Tommy and Evelyn Patricia Brown.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff of the Hospice of the Piedmont and special caregivers Heather Dodson, Kathy Brown, Valerie Brown and Amy Corbin for devoted care given to Laura in her declining health.
A time of visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral home at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021 with Pastor Lee Brown officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery will immediately follow the service.

Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Laura’s grandsons, great-grandsons and Tony Troilo.
