Janice Kay Gilley, 79, of Greencastle passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent in Anderson.
Janice was born in Greencastle on February 28, 1941, the daughter of John and Opal “Grimes” Patterson, and was a 1959 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Mrs. Gilley worked for Horace and Links Furniture Warehouse and Hillmans Jewelry Store in Greencastle.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Gilley; two children, Kimberly Betz, (Leonard), and David Gilley, (Myrona); two sisters, Doris McMains, and Sue Inman; a brother, Donald Patterson, (Adriene); four grandchildren, Morgan Betz, Nicholas Betz, (Mallori), Erin Gilley, and Emily Gilley; a great grandchild Maeve Betz; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Sally Stewart, Edith Fall, Virginia Pulliam, and Joann Leslie; and five brothers, Jack, Firman, Keith, Bob, and John “Junior” Patterson.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Champion. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Friday.
