Marjorie Odell (Moorehead) Grote, 89, passed away, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at The Springs Senior Living Community in Lafayette, Ind. She was born in Evansville, Ind., January 25, 1932, to the late John and Elsie (Odell) Moorehead.
She was a bookkeeper in the healthcare industry for 19 years prior to retirement. She lived in Evansville, IN, Brookfield, WI, Naples, FL, Waukesha, WI, and most recently in Lafayette, IN. She enjoyed oil painting, birdwatching, bowling, dominoes, and Milwaukee Bucks basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Moorehead, sister, Barbara Hollingsworth, both of Evansville, IN., sister, Sandra Wiseman, of Rockport, IN, and sister, Patricia Kirkman, of Orlando, FL.
Marjorie is survived by two sons, Gregg Grote, of West Point, IN, and Bradley Grote, of Waukesha, WI; daughter-in-law Lee Ann Grote of West Point, IN, two grandchildren, Zane Grote of Lafayette, IN and Adam Grote of Crawfordsville, IN; sister, Linda (Curran) Wilkinson of Chrisney, Ind; brother-in-law, Larry Wiseman, of Rockport, IN, cousin Shirley Wingerter, of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gene Backes. Friends may visit 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021 and Tuesday 12:00 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery and livestreamed at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA.
