Gary W. Gentner
January 24, 1966 – February 16, 2021

Gary W. Gentner, 55 years of age, entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born January 24, 1966 in Louisville, KY to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Ann Gentner. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisville and worked for Humana for 24 years, most recently as a Senior Pharmacy Clinical Adviser. He was a devoted husband and father, committed to taking care of those he loved, and always brought a bright smile and quick laugh when you needed it most.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Lindsey.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 30 years, Lisa (Porter) Gentner, and his daughters, Lauren and Madison. His survivors also include: three brothers, Joe (Vicki), Greg (Lori), and Rick (Stephanie); two sisters, Sharon (Mike) Meade and Linda (Chris) Stewart; father and mother-in-law, Wes and Phyllis Porter; sister-in-law Gena (Ed) Reining; aunt, Doddie Breckel, whom he cared for; 18 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and after 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 24th at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 24th in the Kraft Funeral Service Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
