Danny Lee Hinton

Danny Lee Hinton, age 18, passed peacefully on Sunday morning, March 28th, surrounded by loving family. Danny was full of life and left a big impact on everyone he touched. His joyful laugh was felt from communities near and far and he left his mark from coast to coast, across ports all over the world. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn, who advocated for him tirelessly every day of his life. He is also survived by a large loving family and extended MPS family who supported this family throughout his life. He was one of a kind and will be truly missed. A long time resident of Jeffersonville, Danny was born at Ft. Campbell on July 16, 2002. He was a child who delighted in the little things; a sweet treat, an afternoon watching the lions at the zoo, his favorite cartoons played on repeat. Dan never stayed where he was supposed to be; always sneaking into the kitchen, running for the stairs, or jumping into the deep end. He lived for stolen moments. His love was enthusiastic and limitless. He loved Lilo & Stitch. He loved a good view. He loved his dog. He loved his mama. Throughout Danny's life his perseverance inspired others. He inspired them to wear purple, he inspired them to donate, he inspired them to live with as much joy as he did. He fueled a community with his contagious smiles and refusal to go quietly. His laugh was big enough to chase away your worry. His hug was warm enough to soothe your spirit. His life was short enough to break your heart, but his strength still fuels us today. We celebrate in our mourning, because life with him was a gift. Join us for visitation on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with service to begin at 2:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A celebration of life day with open mic to share memories will be on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2-7pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road.
